Responsibilities of a Material Handler:
- Construct and operate mechanical equipment and forklifts.
- Collect samples of customer products for laboratory testing.
- Assign identification codes to customer products.
- Clean and sanitize trailers and hopper vehicles in preparation for loading.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment.
- Load trailers and hopper cars in compliance with established protocols; repair hopper cars and containers as needed.
- Transport hopper cars and trailers to the warehouse building.
- Maintain workplace hygiene and adhere to safety standards.
- Complete all projects and deliverables promptly to uphold on-time value.
- Prepare and process required reports and paperwork.
- Follow customer requirements, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Accept additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial.
- Expertise in large-scale or routine manufacturing is an advantage.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication.

Work Conditions and Schedule:
- Regularly climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, and operate in dusty environments.
- Perform tasks outdoors in various weather conditions; must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Safely and effectively operate essential mechanical tools.
- Participate in a continental rotating shift schedule, including alternating weekends, night shifts (two weeks of days followed by two weeks of nights), and holidays.
- Work 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, totaling 80 hours over two weeks.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
